THOTTADA BEACH
Thottada Beach is a beautiful beach in Kannur district of Kerala, south India. It is situated at Thottada just about 2.5 km from the NH 17 connecting Kannur town and Thalassery and 7 km from Kannur town. The virgin beach 800 meter long is ideal for sun bathing. Tourists could stay at the beach house or guest house near the beach. The Thottada river (a small one) flows into one end of the beach. There is also a dam/bund built across the river 3 decades ago to keep the fresh water from salt water. Away from the sea the river spreads to form swamps which makes a great habitat for various birds and fishes.
MUNDERI KADAVU BIRD SANCTUARY
•Munderi Kadavu Bird Sanctuary is a Biodiversity rich wetland extend which is a suburb of Kannur.
• This range is commended for temporary flying animals.
• Munderi Kadavu is a bit of KatampallyWetlands which incorporates around 4000 segments of place where there is marshland, one used for paddy advancement known as ‘Kaippad’.
HOW TO REACH???
The nearest national interstate is at Taliparamba is National Highway 66 which partners Goa and Mumbai in the north and Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram in the South. The nearest town is Munderi. When Driving from Kannur, The most short thruway (14 km) is: Kannur-Mele Chovva – Munderi Motta– Munderi Kadavu. The road from Munderi Motta to Munderi Kadavu is too much thin, so it is urged, making it difficult to stop your vehicle near the town and walk around the objective.

Beach Club is situated near the Kadalpaalam, a very historic place in Thalassery and has an amazing sea view which will blow your senses. Beach Club is not the regular goto restaurants you see in Thalassery. Here you can experience a much better energetic and nourishing food and environment. If you're looking for a change then you should not miss the Beach Club! I had visited here for atmost 3 times,they serve us better.

YOGEESHWARAN GUHA
There is one Yogeeshwaran Guha (Cave) situated near thottada beach , it is a belive that one Sadhu is meditating inside the Cave and he will fulfill our wish .If you walk some 2 KM along the south of the beach you will reach the most enchanting part of the beach, the sacred cave called the yogeshwaran guha. This ancient rock cut natural cave is believed to be home to a very powerful yogi who is invisible, deep inside the cave, immersed in divine yogic sleep. Though entry into the deep interiors of the cave is restricted due to natural factors you can light oil lamps at the entrance of the cave. Hundreds of lamps are lit daily in the honor of the yogi. It is believed that if you light a lamp and pray here, your prayers will certainly be answered.
